Need to Knows for Guided Rock Climbing and Rappelling Trips
Pricing is based on the location and duration of the trip, and the number of participants. As of August 1, 2019 all new trips will be booked through High Point Climbing and Fitness. This transition opens up many new possibilities for climbing destinations, exposure to more equipment and systems, as well as more availability for scheduling trips.
Park passes are not included in High Point pricing. The parking pass at Cherokee Rock Village is $5 per vehicle. The climbing permit at Palisades Park is $5 per climber. SCC properties do not have an entry fee, but please consider becoming a member to help conserve and protect our climbing areas!
All climbers must complete a waiver in advance of the outing or make arrangements to sign on site. Climbers under 19yo must have waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers are included in the orientation package that comes along with a confirmation email when a trip is booked online or over the phone.
All equipment is provided, including helmet, harness and rock shoes for all guests. Ropes and rigging are provided by the High Point guide team. Guests should wear comfortable clothing and footwear for being outside and active. It is recommended that all guests bring a small pack with personal items like sunglasses, sunscreen, chapstick, snacks and water.
All details regarding climbing area locations, meet up times and specifics will be mapped out in email correspondence and our guide team is always available by phone.
